Hi everyone,

I would like to congratulate our fantastic winners and all of our teams that entered the ROI Excellence Awards. We had just under 200 entries from 33 markets and the jury was in agreement that the breadth and quality of our work has improved with a clear demonstration of ROI and the value we add to our client’s business. Our Gold winners should be seen as an inspiration to all of us of what it means to deliver ROI in the most insightful and innovative way. I was impressed not only by our work but by the efforts you all made to craft your entries. Great storytelling wins awards and we have a fantastic set of finalists that we can be proud of – I urge you all to look at all the winning cases below.

Our judges comprised the key strategic planning leaders from Dubai, France, Italy, Germany, US and Worldwide. The jury worked their way through all the entries to create a shortlist of 68 cases both from The ROI campaign category and a new category ROI Consultancy. The body of work was then carefully reviewed and three winners per category selected. I think that it is testament to the vitality and passion for great thinking across the network that we can mobilise so much of our talent to participate in the awards.

Sean This is my third year as Chairman of the Judges and it was great to see that the network has risen to the challenge of bettering the work we judged during my first year. These awards built on the impressive work we saw at the end of 2015 with even stronger insights and strategies and more exciting activation.

 

It was also great to see more cases that clearly demonstrated a link between our work and bottom line sales. As we move ahead with our ROI+ platform we have a body of work that is already starting to deliver against our vision.  This year also saw the creation of a consultancy award allowing us to celebrate great product that builds clear business ROI but that struggles in the traditional campaign category.

 

What was clear from our review of the entries was that great thinking and storytelling is flourishing in the network, turning into clear demonstrable ROI for our clients.

 

As ever the judges had a tough time in making the final awards amongst a very impressive shortlist. Ultimately we made our decisions based upon:

 

– The scale of ambition and impact delivered

– The presence of genuine human insight

– Clear strategy driving activation

– Proof that our strategy contributed to ROI
